Troop 900 headed to Jordan Lake for a camping trip focused on the Canoeing Merit Badge.
Scouts spent time on the water practicing strokes, maneuvers, and the teamwork that comes with paddling a canoe. The open water and shoreline of Jordan Lake provided a great setting to work through the hands-on requirements while also enjoying a classic Troop campout.
Canoeing is one of those skills that builds confidence and cooperation at the same time. Whether it was learning proper paddle technique, handling the canoe, or just getting comfortable on the water, the Scouts made solid progress toward the badge.
Thanks to the leaders who organized the trip and kept everyone safe on the lake. Another productive and fun weekend for Troop 900.
