Pack 900 held a special “mock” campout at Yanasa Ama Ranch so our Cub Scouts could practice real camping skills in a low-pressure setting.
The boys and gals set up tents, raced against the clock in tent-pitching competitions, learned the basics of camping gear and campsite setup, and of course roasted s’mores over the fire. It was the perfect introduction to outdoor living for younger Scouts who are still building confidence before their first overnight trips.
Parents and leaders worked side-by-side with the dens, helping every Scout get hands-on experience. You could see the pride when a tent finally stood straight and the pure joy when the marshmallows started toasting.
